Existing home has been re-designed to fit in a central court space with vertical extension of spaces.

The intent of the project started with an idea of extending the house vertically with an internal staircase. Upon client expressing the dream of building a courtyard house, a strong attempt was made to fit in a central traditional courtyard within the space available.

The house design has a strong influence of Dravidian style architecture. Where the use of elements like sloping roof, wooden columns and hand made Athangudi flooring casts a strong image of traditional south Indian home.
